The effect of different concentrations (5&10%) as powder and 250 & 500mg/kg) as extract of gooseberry fruits (Physalis peruviana) on obese rats were evaluated. Thirty six male albino rats weighting 140 ±10 g were used in this study and divided into 6 groups, each group contain 6 rats. Rats were treated by high fat diet (10% animal fat) to induce obese. Results showed that the highest body weight gain, feed intake and feed efficiency ratio recorded for 250 mg/kg gooseberry fruits extract, while the lowest recorded for 10 % gooseberry fruits as powder with significant difference
